40 organic items you can buy at Big Lots

Did you know that you can find affordable organic items at Big Lots? To be honest, Big lots would be the LAST place I would think there would be any type of organic products– not because it is Big Lots but more because I really only know of Big lots as a decor/furniture store.

About a year ago, I found myself chasing my then 3-year old around Big Lots and happen to  walk into the food section– I looked up to find a lot of Organic and non GMO products! There were quite a few name brands organic like Muir Glen and more of the Big Lots “Fresh Finds” brand plus, the prices were fantastic.

Since we are on a path to a more all natural lifestyle— it was very exciting to find myself buying organic at Big Lots and being able to use the awesome 20% off coupon that I had in hand.

I love Big Lots, too! Unfortunately, there aren’t any stores located near where I live now, so I rely on the 99 Cents Only store for many of my healthy food deals. They often have organic greens and salads, natural yogurts and cereals, and other products I’ve also seen at Whole Foods (with quite a price difference, of course!). Thanks for showing us these great finds.

I don’t shop at Big Lots, but I agree that the 99 cent store is also a good place to look for these types of items. They have recently had a lot of the “glutino” brand.

Yes, love love the 99 cents store. I feel like I’m on a treasure hunt for the scores for the week. Looking forward to your post, and I’ll be sure to check my Big Lots for some of these deals too.

Biglots has really been expanding there healthy food brand which is awesome, but a word of caution (I was a manager there for many years) the system for rotating food is not very good so ALWAYS check the experation dates on EVERYTHING you buy!

Oh my – you guys are so correct about the 99 Cent Store. Just picked up Muir Glen Organic Black Bean & Corn Salsa ($4.99 at Ralph’s) and also a Muir Glen Organic Pasta Sauce ($5.29 at Ralph’s!) Tons of organic & gluten free items, as well as a great selection of fresh fruits & veggies. Oh! Can you believe this – Lipton Tea K-Cups (18 count)? Had to grab three of them. I’d say they are close to $10.00 in a grocery store. Their refrigerated items are constantly changing – sometimes TGIF appetizers, Lean Cuisine meals and even Dreyer’s ice cream! No coupons or club cards to worry about either.

This is an awesome list! I’ll have to check out Big Lots again, because I definitely did not notice these last time I was there. The deal on Muir Glen (!) tomatoes is fantastico! Thank you for posting 🙂

This is great! I’m noticing as healthier eating catches on, more and more stores are carrying these types of products. I’m going to have to check out Big Lots soon.
